The Inferno de L'Impur troupe hosted a little party for the anniversary of the beginning of their special fetish performance routines. It was full of the usual fun and games, just a lack of fire, as almost all venues now prohibit that sort of display thanks to that little bit by Great White earlier in the year. It was no less interesting though, but a bit sad. This would be the last performance by Veronica the Fire Vixen. She is moving on to bigger acts in bigger cities.

dance til ya plur
With a theme featuring the Power Puff Girls, who could resist; not many from that area, and then some from St Louis and Kansas City. We didn't make it down until around 10 pm, and the party was already in full swing. It was a fun-filled night indeed.

afterhours
There was a little Afterhours event down at the dirty little Guinotte place. I am not sure what the occasion was, but there were some fine beats from the likes of Radionic, Clockwerk, Bucho, and Jon NuSkool.

darian birthday
I dropped in for a few quick shots of Darian's birthday celebration. I think he is manager or something like that. It was kind of early, and there were not too many folks there.

rare grooves
How could I pass up the opportunity to visit the 2nd Annual Libra Soiree (aka the birthday party for Robin - BPostive). Tyrone Blea, Ninalicious Maxx, KTHPM, Roland, J-Fyvo and Fitzroger rounded out the lineup. There might have been someone after that, but the photo is cut off. It was great time though, and I look forward to the 3rd in the series. Happy Birthday, Robin!

A different sort of event took the stage, in a bit of a rave / spiritual setting, featuring Jeffrey Zion out of Indianapolis, Ethan Bliss from Manhattan, Guru Sole out of Lawrence, and KC locals DCVS and Dan & Jon.

frisky with east coast boogiemen vs lawnchair generals
Frisky turned Kabal upside with the East Coast Boogiemen from DC dropped into town and battled The Lawnchair Generals to keep the dance floor moving. They definitely succeeded. This was a fun and fabulous night, once again proving Kabal is the place to be.

guerilla theory
A crazy Wednesday night at the Hurricane, with a visit from Bizar out of Washington, DC, along with support from local support from 1.800 vs Phelyne, SvS, Dappa aka KTHPM, Ben Fuller, and Clockwerk from Breakbotix. At one point a bridal party invaded the space adding their own sort of flavor.

loose in the park
On late notice, I took out for midtown, after hearing about a little impromptu gig at the shelter at Loose Park. I am not entirely sure if more folks had been there or not. By the time I got there, all that was left was a DJ playing for a promoter, another DJ, a dedicated fan, one guy passed out, and someone claiming to be a former Hare Krishna from Oregon. We had fun just hanging around though, listening to House.
