pigface easy listening cd release party

Although we were not privy to a Pigface performance, we did get some fantastic sets from cohorts. Lolo kicked off the night with a really nice set, followed by Chris Connelly and Voodou in the basement of Balanca's.

evolution w/ emergence

The regular Monday night of Gothic/Industrial Music featuring Emergence. I wish I had written down their information. They were a good act, and now I can't find anything online about them.

sound tribe sector 9 w/ ming & fs

One of the best performances in a long while at the Granada Theater. This was a mind-blowing and mind-altering affair. The warm-up act, Mind & FS set a stage that was nearly impossible to follow, with their Live PA. Sound Tribe Sector 9 proved the perfect transition into another dimension though. I look forward to seeing either of these acts again, and I think a lot of other folks do too, judging by the number of folks dancing.

kabal playboy party

A sexy little night of House Music with DJ Paul DeMatteo at the hottest new nightclub in Kansas City. Word of mouth seems to be the way to discover, and according to the owners, the intent.

ultraviolet w/ kid icarus

A fun little thursday night rave-style at Abe & Jake's Landing in Lawrence with Kid Icarus, along with support from DJs Sydeburnz, Andrew Boie, Ethan Bowker and Bucho & Greg Zoi holding down the lounge.  This was a pretty remarkable event at an interesting venue. There looked to be an opportunity to do multiple minor rooms, adjacent to the big room.
