jilly's on broadway

A stop in for a random visit to Jilly's on Broadway, while out searching the city for a little House Music.

aqua lounge

Out roaming the streets with some friends, looking for a little House Music, we stumbled on DJ Paul DeMatteo spinning things up at the Aqua Lounge. It is a generally nice space, with plenty of access to the bar, but it is not really conducive to dancing.

Initially camped out at 9th & Grand, somehow I got sucked into the parade for several blocks.  It definitely provided for a different view along the parade route.

12 baltimore

Stopped in on a new little spot for Jazz in Kansas City, to meet with a few friends and have a cocktail or three.  The music was relatively good, but mostly generic.  I look forward to visiting again for a solid chill session again.  The service was really good, and everyone was really friendly.

designer history

Several hundred descended upon the the El Torreon ballroom and danced the night away to the DeepFix production, Designer History. It was quite a show, with Mateo Murphy from Montreal and Lance DeSardi, out of LA headlining, with backup from St Louis' Don Tinsley and local Kansas City house legend Pat Nice. A Drum & Bass room rounded out the selection for the night, hosting Mr. Solve out of Springfield, and locals Ben Fuller, edw!n, Krillin and James Bond.
